Custom Art Framing

Kingston-based custom framing using refinished vintage materials or handmade timber frames. My space and materials are limited, but if you like my Art Prints or Instagram, I can create something similar for your artwork.

Art Prints For Sale

I love framing, and when I can't find any art to frame I snip pages out of art or children's books. Please check out my available framed prints and your purchase helps to stock my workroom. Thanks a million!

Custom Framing

Framed by Kristie

I have a degree in museum studies and I care about objects. I’m also continuing a framing family tradition.

Handmade Frames

I have a small woodworking shop, and can finish oak, pine, or poplar frames with a few joinery and finish options.

Vintage Frames

We can rebuild a frame from my collection of vintage frames to suit your project.

Gallery-Style

My taste is for clean simple gallery-style frames, although I’m not afraid of colour!

Modern Subtle Matboards

Most prints or custom projects are either single or double matted in shades of white.

Glass or Plexiglass

Plexiglass is a good option for children’s rooms and glass gives a flatter finish.

Art Book & Children’s Prints

MaxSold and the thrift shops are my favourite places to collect old framing materials, as well as great images to frame. Art History books are excellent sources of beautiful prints, and I like to include some information about the art on the back of the frame. It’s also so fun to decorate my daughter’s room with pages from copies of our favourite books. A custom-framed children’s illustration makes a kids room unique and reminds us that children’s illustrators are amazing artists.

A Great Way to Support Local

Free Kingston Delivery

Based in Sunnyside, you can choose contactless porch pick-up not far from the Kingston Centre, or free local delivery within a 5km radius of downtown. Deliveries happen on Thursdays and pick-ups are by appointment.

An Environmentally Friendly Choice

Art Book Decor focuses on giving new life to both images and frames. Many beautiful images are rarely seen inside old books that nobody opens. Similarly boxes of old frames might sit in someone’s basement for years. Rather than buying new mass produced items, let’s use what we have and decorate our homes with things that are truly unique.
